Meet the gang... Amanda North  Amanda began her journey with Yoga over 10 years ago when she attended her first yoga class in college.  After years of being an athlete through soccer, cheerleading and running, yoga was a refreshing change of pace and offered a different realm for physical release.  Upon graduation Amanda moved back to Nashville and began working in the corporate world, but continued to practice yoga regularly at a local gym.  It was then she discovered her passion to share yoga and become a Certified Yoga Teacher through YogaFit.  Amanda has taught in various gyms and healing arts centers throughout Nashville for the past 6 years.  She has practiced and studied Vinyasa, Tantra, Bikram, and Restorative yoga. In 2007, Amanda’s yoga journey led her to Africa to practice yoga and work with an orphanage and introduce the children of Tanzania to yoga. Over the years Amanda has learned that although yoga may begin as a physical practice, it soon can lead to self-discovery. By centering ourselves in the mental, emotional and spiritual realms we can connect with our true nature. Amanda’s passion for yoga is displayed in her dynamic and energetic personality as well as her ability to relate yoga to all.  She believes yoga meets you where you are and through continued practice yoga can offer the infinite potential of growth, happiness and inner joy.
