Meet the gang... Freya Potempa Freya began her yoga journey in a small yoga class while working a cubicle job in Chicago. That one-hour class a week began to transform not only her physical being, but reached deeper, calming her mind and soothing her spirit. Over the next two years, Freya continued her practice and started meditating, both of which helped ground and focus her. After recognizing the need for a serious life change, Freya moved to Nashville in 2009, and felt the call to share the benefits of yoga with others. Freya completed her 200-hour teacher training at the Franklin Yoga Center. Freya believes in creating a yoga practice with strength, flexibility and stillness in the physical, mental, and spiritual self. Furthermore, she wants you to meet yourself as you are, right now, and not compare that to how you want to be or were. In her classes she will encourage you to meet each new day with joy and desire to practice yoga, and to practice when joy and desire are absent. Likewise she feels its important to make time inwardly in meditation, and to listen to what the body and soul are trying to say, while silencing the mind. Freya joined our staff in February 2010.
