Meet the gang... Hillary Drummond Palaia  Hillary Drummond Palaia began practicing yoga in college, and immediately found the benefits life-changing. In 2001, she graduated from Vanderbilt University with degrees in Education and Sociology. She then began her mind-body studies with a month-long yoga teacher training at Esalen Institute in Big Sur. Years practicing yoga and of exploring the mind-body connection prepared her for a pivotal moment in her life. In 2009, Hillary had foot surgery under hypnosis, with no anesthesia or narcotics. After the surgery, she was shown yet again that yoga has the capacity to heal the body. This experience persuaded Hillary to take the next step toward her lifelong dream of teaching yoga. In February 2010, she completed the teaching program at The Yoga Room with Nancy Kirkland and Zo Newell.   Hillary is an attached mother, La Leche League member, crafter, photographer, meditator, raw foodie, birth advocate, artist, and blogger.
