Indian Summer Paradise Friday, October 24 6:30- 8:00PM Donation Only!! Journey to the islands with us... Come and join us as we pay homage to the end of a beautiful summer. Melanie Bhagat, friend and fellow yoga teacher, will guide us through an early evening practice focusing on the energy of the sun and serenity the ocean. Expect lots of active sun salutations and flowing poses that create a fluid ocean-like feel. Live musicians will compliment the mellow mood with island beats, while the sound of the ocean’s waves lap in the distance. So let’s gather together to feel the warmth of the setting sun as we bid farewell to those long, leisurely, balmy summer days.....  Melanie Bhagat began practicing yoga in 2001 under Iyengar instructor, Chris Clawson. While studying the precision and alignment emphasized in the Iyengar style, Melanie became increasingly fond of the the flow and dance of Vinyasa yoga. After years of struggling with anxiety, she found that yoga provided a peaceful solace and a way to relax in the present moment while also improving her physical health and well-being. As witness to these benefits, Melanie decided she wanted to share her love of yoga with others.  She attended the White Lotus Yoga Foundation's teacher training session in August 2008.  Currently, in addition to expanding her knowledge of holistic healing, yoga philosophy and anatomy, she leads private sessions, special classes and continues to practice with friends at Kali Yuga Yoga.
