Jillian BaLSER

Jillian’s love for yoga is rooted in admiration for the ways in which yoga can provide paths for regaining agency and a sense of internal connection. She believes that yoga can foster healing of the mind, body and spirit, and is passionate about sharing this practice with others. Jillian enjoys teaching a variety of types of classes, including Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin yoga. She values the uniqueness and beauty found in each individual’s yoga practice, and admires the universal nature of yoga’s scope and impact. In her classes, Jillian encourages mindfulness and attentiveness to intuition, as she believes in the power of connection within the Self in the journey toward realizing one’s utmost potential. Her love for sharing her yoga practice is seen in the energy and joy she brings to each of her classes.

Jillian is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher, having completed her training with Kali Yuga Yoga in Nashville, TN, under the tutelage of Senior Teachers Leah King and Liz Mead. She holds a B.A. summa cum laude in Biology from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, concentrating on public behavioral health, from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN.
Jillian joined our staff in April of 2016.
