Kristianna Simmons
Kristianna began practicing Kundalini Yoga in 2001 at  Golden Bridge Yoga in Los Angeles, CA.  She had the gift of having Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa as her first teacher. In the time she studied with Gurmukh, she quickly experienced the impact Kundalini Yoga had on her life while she was practicing, and how quick life impacted her when she wasn't.  

“Kundalini Yoga met me at the beginning of what would be a 10 year healing journey.  During this period of time my whole sense of identity crumbled along with my whole sense of purpose in life.  Some refer to this time as “The Dark Night of the Soul”.  I refer to it as my rebirth.  This technology has been an integral part of my healing process.  It has allowed me to access dormant emotions within my body and release them at a rapid pace. It also has allowed me to become more in tune with my being by experiencing how the breath connects the body, mind, and soul. It revealed the artist that was living inside of me.  It has given me the “grit” to be able to face challenges by how it works on strengthening the nervous system.   Before, I wanted to reach outside of myself for stimulants to escape from life, but today I have the tools and awareness of what to work on energetically and physically to move through that imbalance. The meditations are allowing me to calm my mind and develop my intuition. This practice has given me the tools to achieve inner peace and balance in as little as three minutes. Most importantly it has given me a spiritual connection that I had not been able to experience before. Kundalini Yoga has raised me from the ashes of who I thought I was into the true bright beautiful infinite being I have always been.”

In 2009 Kristianna attended Teacher Training in Espanola, New Mexico at the Hacienda de Guru Ram Das, the Mother Ashram.  There she studied under many gifted teachers including Nivair Singh, Pritpal Kaur, Gurucharan Singh, Deva Kaur and Dev Saroop Kaur.

She brings years of personal growth experience and is dedicated to assisting those who are ready for change. Knowing first hand how deeply this technology works is what fuels her passion to share it with others.  "The teachings are ready to meet you wherever you are on your personal journey."
 
A Kundalini Yoga class includes Pranayam (breathing technique) Asana (posture) Mantra(healing with sound) Meditation and Relaxation.  In Kristianna's class you may also experience guided visualization, free form dance, live music, self-empowering teachings, and inner child play.  She will hold a safe space to allow you to experience your experience, awaken your awareness and reconnect to your infinite self.
