Meditation is a practice that can be used anytime and anywhere to better your life!! Just one minute of meditation before you head out in your car can make the driving experience a much more pleasant journey. You’ll be continually amazed at the overwhelming sense of peace you feel in a meditation outside, with nature. Furthermore, meditating right before bed for just a few minutes allows you to relax and fall asleep quickly. 

Quite simply, meditation can change your life!

Contrary to popular belief, meditation is a state of mind, not an act in and of itself. Because of this, many people experience the frustration of “failing” to “get it,” or being “incapable.” Many are anxious, with too much nervous energy to remain still and feel uncomfortable with Silence.  

In this workshop we will dispel the idea that to meditate is to do something requiring great effort or commitment, as well as show how meditation can bring peace and harmony to your life. Various remedies, through meditation techniques and exercises, will be presented for dealing with our over-active minds. These practices are short, simple and can easily be performed anytime, anywhere. As we discuss these methods we will apply the principles through “mini” meditations in order to find the approach that suits each individual best.

About Danny Brewington
In 1987 Danny moved to New York City and quickly discovered that it was truly the city that never sleeps. He found himself lying awake at nights, unable to sleep, tormented by the constant chaos that lurked just outside his bedroom window. Quite unexpectedly, he discovered meditation, and soon found himself sleeping like a baby. Now, after over 20 years of study and practice, he enjoys great powers of concentration, breathing control, and expanded awareness. His understanding of meditation comes from a combination of philosophies, technologies, and various life experiences.  Without meditation, not only would sleep be elusive, but he is sure he would have ended up in the nearest insane asylum!

Wear comfortable clothing, as there will be some movement threaded in and out of the guided meditations. You may want to bring your yoga mat, pillows or any cushions, as you will be sitting—a lot.  Most of all bring an open mind. You will discover that meditation is not so mysterious, after all.  It’s the easiest thing in the world to do!
