Megan St. Lawrence
Megan has been practicing yoga for fifteen years. As a girl, her background was in ballet. She attended her first yoga class with her mother and grandmother at age five and has been practicing ever since. She expounded on her knowledge while studying at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology. Here she started teaching yoga, group fitness classes, and personal training sessions.

After graduation, she built close ties with the celebrated yoga studio Kali Yuga Yoga in East Nashville where she resided after teaching English as a second language in Barcelona, Spain. In Barcelona she was introduced, and fell in love with the art of bellydancing. Ready to deepen her practice and understanding, she travelled to Goa, India with Lara Baumann of Quantum Yoga to study and receive her 200+ hour, and in 2015 her 500 hour Dynamic Vinyasa certification using Quantum Physics to create Dosha balancing sequences. It was in Goa where Meg fully immersed herself in the teachings of Ayurveda, its many therapies and spa like treatments, Indian cooking and how to use Indian herbs. She then became a massage therapist after completing her 600 hour program at the Cortiva Institute. In addition, she completed a Thai Yoga Massage course, became a Reiki Practitioner, and Feng Shui Consultant. 

Meg's journey started at age five and her teachings are a reflection of her travels, experiences, education and trainings. Her approach to yoga includes her intuitive understanding of individuals and groups through psychology, the dosha system, Reiki healing energy, massage, aromatherapy and Feng Shui. Her classes provide a challenge and a balance of yin and yang energies. 

Meg joined our staff in the Fall of 2013.
