Sacred Traditions of the Home Practice with Jo-Jo Jackson June 6: LIVESTREAM 1-3pm $20 Link your yoga to the roots of yoga. Expand into the sacred tradition of your home practice! In Hatha Yoga, Sadhana is the foundation of a yogi's practice. This daily practice happens within a sacred space--the hermitage--the home. With the guidance of a skilled, experienced teacher, the home practice is how to create success in yoga. Empower your practice learning basic sequences and exploring classical asana postures from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. We will spend our time exploring the classical yoga text, its link to Tantra and the importance of Sadhana, the home practice. This beginner-friendly introductory workshop explores the intersection of the home practice, Tantra & the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Participants will walk away with empowering knowledge of different "namaskaras," plus knowledge of specific yoga asana to build their home practices *It is helpful to acquire a copy of Swami Muktibodhananda's translation & commentary of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and have a notebook and pen handy. The only other items you will need are a mat and any at-home props.
