Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing modality of massage with roots in Yoga and Ayurveda. The practice developed in India and was preserved in Thailand. A Thai Massage session consists of muscular compression, passive stretching, joint mobilization and Acupressure.  Thai Massage is generally performed on a mat on the floor with the recipient fully clothed. No oils are used.

Like yoga, Thai yoga massage reduces stress, improves circulation, increases energy, increases flexibility, improves range of motion, centers mind and body, releases blocked or stagnate energy in the body emotional and physical.  Like other forms of massage, Thai yoga massage has the same effects on releasing the myofascial tissue that encases the muscles.

About the Workshop
We will practice comfortably clothed, on a special arrangement of mats on the floor, while the instructor demonstrates each move on a model – verbally and visually directing the group through a satisfying sequence of stress-releasing, soul-retrieving Thai-style Partner Yoga Massage.

All of the moves can be performed by anyone with just a medium level of fitness and flexibility, as long as a kneeling position can be maintained for a few minutes at a time.
