Meet the gang...
Tisha Morris
Tisha Morris, a fellow East Nashvillian, first fell in love with yoga upon leaving her first studio class, feeling as though she had just visited the chiropractor, therapist, and church… it was truly a mind, body, spirit experience! Soon afterwards she was inspired to share the empowering and relaxing effects of yoga that she experienced. Tisha has practiced various styles of yoga for over seven years and has completed trainings under Erich Schiffmann at the Santa Barbara Yoga Center, along with other amazing and inspiring local yoga instructors. Her concentration is Vinyasa style yoga because of its flowing and organic properties.   In addition to teaching yoga, Tisha is an Energy Healer and integrates her intuition, compassion, and positive healing energy into her yoga classes.  She loves introducing yoga to people of all levels, ages and backgrounds, along with deepening the practice of experienced yogis.  Whether it be through energy healing or yoga, Tisha’s passion is to help empower everyone to reach their fullest potential without limitations! Tisha our staff joined in January 2008.

We would also like to join her in happily announcing the relocation of her Energy Healing practice to Body in Balance building at 953 Main Street, just down from 5 Points & Marche.  For anyone not familiar with Body in Balance, it is a Wellness Center that provides healing modalities for the whole body, mind, and spirit in a warm and safe environment.  To find out more about Tisha's healing sessions visit her link on the Body in Balance website.

Tisha’s Vata Practice
Guided by her strong sense of intuition and energy reception, Tisha’s free flowing Vinyasa class enlightens our Tuesday mornings. Her grace and innovative combinations inspire and challenge practitioners of all levels.

Tisha’s Kapha Practice
Treat yourself to an internal spa day at Kali Yuga Yoga! Tisha utilizes the art of Yin Yoga on Friday mornings to help unwind, nurture and restore your body, mind & heart. The class opens with a few gentle poses or asanas to ready the body for the yin practice. Yin yoga focuses on long holds and stretches to not only relax the sympathetic nervous system, but also releasing deeper into the parasympathetic and eccentric nervous systems as well. Students are guided into simple positions which are to be held from anywhere up to five minutes or more. The result is a completely relaxed and rejuvenated sense of being!
